Ya-ping Xie, Xurong Chen

TL;DR
This paper models and calculates the production of $J/$ particles in ultraperipheral PbPb collisions at 2.76 TeV, comparing results with ALICE experimental data to understand photon-nucleus interactions.
Contribution
It introduces a combined approach using light-cone perturbation theory and the dipole model to compute $J/$ production in ultraperipheral collisions, distinguishing coherent and incoherent processes.
Findings
The calculated rapidity distributions agree with ALICE data.
The model effectively separates coherent and incoherent contributions.
Results enhance understanding of photon-induced vector meson production.
Abstract
We calculate the coherent and incoherent production of in PbPb ultraperipheral collisions. The production of in ultraperipheral collsions is product of photon flux distributions and cross section of photon-nucleus scatterings. The distributions of photon flux is computed in light-cone perturbation theory and the cross section of photon-nucleus scatterings is calculated in dipole model, we assume that the two gluons exchange contribution is the coherent cross section and the large- contribution is the incoherent cross section in photon-nucleus scattering. The numerical result of the rapidity distributions of production in PbPb ultraperipheral collisions at TeV are compared with the experimental data measured by the ALICE collaboration.
