Diquark correlations in baryons: the Interacting Quark Diquark Model
E.Santopinto

TL;DR
This paper reviews the Interacting Quark Diquark Model (IQDM) for baryon spectroscopy, discussing its approach, addressing the missing resonances problem, and exploring potential extensions to heavy baryons, with comparisons to experimental data.
Contribution
It introduces and discusses the IQDM framework, highlighting its potential to explain baryon spectra and address missing resonance issues, with ideas for extending to heavy baryons.
Findings
IQDM successfully describes baryon spectra.
Addresses the missing resonances problem.
Proposes extensions to heavy baryon spectroscopy.
Abstract
A review of the underlying ideas of the Interacting Quark Diquark Model (IQDM) that asses the baryon spectroscopy in terms of quark diquark degrees of freedom is given, together with a discussion of the missing resonances problem. Some ideas about its generalization the heavy baryon spectroscopy is given.s of freedom is given, together with a discussion of the missing resonances problem. Some ideas about its generalization the heavy baryon spectroscopy is given. The results are compared to the existing experimental data.
