A Finite Axiomatization of G-Dependence
Gianluca Paolini

TL;DR
This paper presents a finite axiomatization and Armstrong relations for G-dependence, a form of dependence, along with a translation between G-dependence and functional dependence.
Contribution
It provides the first natural finite axiomatization of G-dependence and establishes a translation to functional dependence.
Findings
G-dependence admits a finite axiomatization
Armstrong relations are constructed for G-dependence
Explicit translation between G-dependence and functional dependence is provided
Abstract
We show that a form of dependence known as G-dependence (originally introduced by Grelling) admits a very natural finite axiomatization, as well as Armstrong relations. We also give an explicit translation between functional dependence and G-dependence.
