N.I. Matskevich, E.V. Korotaev (Nikolaev Institute of Inorganic, Chemistry SB RAS, Novosibirsk, Russia)

TL;DR
This study investigates the magnetic properties of erbium-doped bismuth-cobalt oxides with a delta-form structure, measuring susceptibility and magnetic moments across a broad temperature range to understand their magnetic behavior.
Contribution
It provides new insights into the magnetic characteristics of erbium-doped bismuth-cobalt oxides, a previously less explored material system.
Findings
Magnetic susceptibility varies with temperature.
Effective magnetic moments were quantified.
The compound exhibits specific magnetic behavior across 80-500 K.
Abstract
We synthesized bismuth - cobalt oxide doped by erbium with general formula Bi3-xErxCoO3-y. Compound has structure of delta-form bismuth oxide. Magnetic properties of the compound were measured by Faraday's method using quartz scales in the temperature range of 80-500 K. The magnetic susceptibility and effective magnetic moment were calculated.
