Kapil Saraswat, Prashant Shukla, Venktesh Singh

TL;DR
This paper calculates the collisional and radiative energy loss of B and D mesons in PbPb collisions at 2.76 TeV, comparing theoretical predictions with experimental data to understand the mechanisms of energy loss.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of both collisional and radiative energy loss mechanisms for B and D mesons in heavy-ion collisions at LHC energies.
Findings
D meson R_AA explained by radiative energy loss alone.
B meson R_AA requires both collisional and radiative energy loss.
Theoretical calculations align with experimental measurements.
Abstract
We present the calculations of collisional and radiative energy loss of and mesons in the medium produced in PbPb collisions at = 2.76 TeV. The nuclear modification factor of and mesons including shadowing and energy loss are calculated and compared with the measured data. While the meson can be described in terms of the radiative energy loss alone, both the collisional as well as radiative energy loss are required to explain the meson measurements.
