Nina Ovcharova, Joachim Gwinner

TL;DR
This paper introduces a new numerical method for solving semicoercive hemivariational inequalities, demonstrated on a contact problem with nonmonotone friction, and provides benchmark numerical results.
Contribution
It presents a novel numerical solution approach specifically for semicoercive hemivariational inequalities, addressing nonmonotone contact problems.
Findings
Successful numerical solution of a semicoercive contact problem
Benchmark tests demonstrate effectiveness of the method
Applicable to nonmonotone friction scenarios
Abstract
In this paper we present a novel numerical solution procedure for semicoercive hemivariational inequalities. As a model example we consider a unilateral semicoercive contact problem with nonmonotone friction and provide numerical results for benchmark tests.
