Large space shell model calculations with small space results
Larry Zamick, Xiafei Yu

TL;DR
This paper discusses the relationship between small and large space shell model calculations, highlighting that some results appear in both, while others require large space approaches for accuracy.
Contribution
It introduces insights into when small space calculations suffice and when large space calculations are necessary in shell model studies.
Findings
Some results are consistent across small and large space calculations.
Certain phenomena demand large space shell model approaches.
The paper clarifies the conditions under which each approach is appropriate.
Abstract
We note that in large space shell model calculaiotns and experiment one sometimes get results, the form of which also appear in smaller space calculations. On the other hand there are some results which demand the large space approach.
