The heat flow for the full bosonic string
Volker Branding

TL;DR
This paper investigates harmonic maps from surfaces related to the full bosonic string, analyzing their properties and establishing existence results using heat flow techniques.
Contribution
It introduces a new class of harmonic maps coupled with scalar and two-form potentials, proving their existence via heat flow methods.
Findings
Established existence of harmonic maps for the full bosonic string
Analyzed analytic and geometric properties of these maps
Applied heat flow method successfully
Abstract
We study harmonic maps from surfaces coupled to a scalar and a two-form potential, which arise as critical points of the action of the full bosonic string. We investigate several analytic and geometric properties of these maps and prove an existence result by the heat flow method.
