Study of B ->K pi pi gamma Decays
Gerald Eigen (for the BABAR collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper measures the time-dependent CP asymmetry in B meson radiative decays involving K and pi mesons, using a large data sample, and provides branching fractions and resonance structure insights.
Contribution
First measurement of CP asymmetry in B0 -> K0_S rho(770)^0 gamma decays with detailed resonance analysis and branching fraction measurements.
Findings
CP asymmetry parameter S_{K0_S rho^0 gamma} = -0.17 ± 0.32
Branching fraction B(B+ -> K+ pi+ pi- gamma) = (27.2 ± 1.0 ± 1.2) x 10^{-6}
Branching fraction B(B0 -> K0_S pi+ pi- gamma) = (24.0 ± 2.4 +1.7/-1.8) x 10^{-6}
Abstract
Using decays recorded with the \babar\ detector at the PEP-II storage ring, we present the time-dependent \CP\ asymmetry measurement in the radiative penguin decay mode , yielding . Since the result is extracted from the time-dependent \CP~asymmetry parameters and measured in the neutral decay , we need to correct for the dilution of in . The dilution factor is determined from a study of the charged mode , which produces more signal events and is related to the neutral mode by isospin. We…
