Search for anomalous couplings in the $Wtb$ vertex from the measurement of double differential angular decay rates of single top quarks produced in the $t$-channel with the ATLAS detector
ATLAS Collaboration

TL;DR
This paper measures angular decay distributions of single top quarks in proton-proton collisions to constrain anomalous couplings at the Wtb vertex, testing for deviations from the Standard Model predictions.
Contribution
It provides the first simultaneous measurement of two parameters describing the Wtb vertex using ATLAS data, setting limits on anomalous couplings.
Findings
Measured the fraction of transversely polarized W bosons as 0.37 ± 0.07.
Determined the phase between decay amplitudes as -0.14π ± 0.036π.
Set 95% confidence level limits on the ratio of complex couplings g_R and V_L.
Abstract
The electroweak production and subsequent decay of single top quarks is determined by the properties of the vertex. This vertex can be described by the complex parameters of an effective Lagrangian. An analysis of angular distributions of the decay products of single top quarks produced in the -channel constrains these parameters simultaneously. The analysis described in this paper uses 4.6 fb of proton-proton collision data at = 7 TeV collected with the ATLAS detector at the LHC.Two parameters are measured simultaneously in this analysis. The fraction of decays containing transversely polarised bosons is measured to be (stat.syst.). The phase between amplitudes for transversely and longitudinally polarised bosons recoiling against left-handed -quarks is measured to be …
