TL;DR
This paper estimates b-baryon fragmentation fractions and decay branching ratios based on existing measurements, providing predictions to test theoretical models like QCD factorization.
Contribution
It introduces new estimates of b-baryon fragmentation fractions and decay branching ratios derived from experimental data, aiding validation of theoretical decay models.
Findings
Estimated $f_{\Lambda_b}$ as 0.175±0.106
Derived branching ratios for $\Lambda_b$ and $\Xi_b^-$ decays
Predicted branching ratios enable testing of QCD factorization models
Abstract
We study the fragmentation fractions of the -quark to b-baryons (). By the assumption of in accordance with the measurements by LEP, CDF and LHCb Collaborations, we estimate that and . From these fragmentation fractions, we derive , and . The predictions of and clearly enable us to test the theoretical models, such as the QCD factorization approach in the -baryon decays.
