Semi-classical and nonlinear energy conditions
Prado Martin-Moruno, Matt Visser

TL;DR
This paper explores nonlinear and quantum energy conditions, demonstrating that certain quantum vacuum states can satisfy these conditions even when they violate traditional energy conditions.
Contribution
It introduces quantum extensions of nonlinear energy conditions and shows their validity in specific quantum vacuum states.
Findings
Quantum vacuum states can satisfy nonlinear energy conditions.
Quantum extensions can hold even when traditional conditions are violated.
The study advances understanding of energy conditions in quantum contexts.
Abstract
We consider the characteristics of nonlinear energy conditions and of quantum extensions of these and the usual energy conditions. We show that they are satisfied by some quantum vacuum states that violate the usual energy conditions.
