Electron multipacting in long-bunch beam
Li Kai-Wei

TL;DR
This paper investigates electron multipacting in long-bunch beams, focusing on trailing-edge effects, and validates the analysis through simulations to understand its role in electron cloud development.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of trailing-edge multipacting in long-bunch beams and confirms findings with simulation results, advancing understanding of electron cloud phenomena.
Findings
Trailing-edge multipacting occurs in long-bunch beams.
Analysis aligns with simulation results.
Insights into electron cloud development in accelerators.
Abstract
The electron multipacting is an important factor for the development of the electron cloud. There is a trailing-edge multipacting in the tail of the long-bunch beam. It can be described by the energy gain and motion of electrons. The analyses are in agreement with the simulation.
