TL;DR
This paper investigates how scalar leptoquarks could influence rare B meson decays involving neutrinos and leptons, providing updated predictions constrained by recent experimental data and exploring potential signals of new physics.
Contribution
It introduces a comprehensive analysis of scalar leptoquark effects on rare B decays, constraining parameter space with latest measurements and predicting observable deviations in decay rates and angular distributions.
Findings
Predicted branching ratios for B → K(*) νν̄ and B → X_s νν̄ decays within leptoquark models.
Identified potential deviations in angular distributions and lepton flavor universality in B → K l^+ l^- decays.
Constraints on leptoquark parameters from recent experimental results.
Abstract
We study the rare semileptonic decays of mesons induced by as well as transitions in the scalar leptoquark model where the leptoquarks transform as and under the standard model gauge group. The leptoquark parameter space is constrained using the most recent experimental results on and processes. Considering only the baryon number conserving leptoquark interactions, we estimate the branching ratios for the exclusive and inclusive decay processes by using the constraint parameters. We also obtain the low recoil (large lepton invariant mass, i.e., ) predictions for the angular distribution of process and several…
