Carolina Grejo, F\'abio P. Machado, Alejandro Rold\'an-Correa

TL;DR
This paper derives the distribution of the strongest individual's fitness in a species survival model, revealing its dependence on hypergeometric functions and highlighting special cases like p=1/2.
Contribution
It provides a novel analytical derivation of the strongest individual's fitness distribution in a GMS model variation, connecting it to hypergeometric functions.
Findings
Distribution relies on Gauss hypergeometric function
Special case at p=1/2 involves Hypergeometric function type I
Analytical expression enhances understanding of species survival dynamics
Abstract
We derive the strongest individual fitness distribution on a variation for a species survival model proposed by Guiol, Machado and Schinazi \cite{GMS11}. We point out to the fact that this distribution relies on the Gauss hypergeometric function and when on the Hypergeometric function type I distribution
