TL;DR
This paper reviews the ongoing efforts and experiments aimed at resolving the discrepancy in measurements of the proton charge radius obtained from different experimental methods.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive overview of experimental approaches undertaken to address the proton charge radius puzzle and compares their findings.
Findings
Summary of muonic hydrogen results and discrepancies
Overview of scattering and hydrogen spectroscopy measurements
Discussion of experimental efforts to resolve the conflict
Abstract
We review the status of the proton charge radius puzzle. Emphasis is given to the various experiments initiated to resolve the conflict between the muonic hydrogen results and the results from scattering and regular hydrogen spectroscopy.
