TL;DR
This paper develops a method to resum soft gluon corrections at NLL accuracy for the $pp o tar{t}H$ process at the LHC, improving theoretical predictions for this important production channel.
Contribution
It extends Mellin space resummation techniques to $2 o 3$ processes and provides an analytical soft anomalous dimension for associated massive particle production.
Findings
Resummation significantly affects the total cross section predictions.
Analytical expressions for soft anomalous dimensions are derived.
Numerical impact of resummation on $tar{t}H$ production is quantified.
Abstract
We perform resummation of soft gluon corrections to the total cross section for the process . The resummation is carried out at next-to-leading-logarithmic (NLL) accuracy using the Mellin space technique, extending its application to the class of processes. We present an analytical result for the soft anomalous dimension for a hadronic production of two coloured massive particles in association with a colour singlet. We discuss the impact of resummation on the numerical prediction for the associated Higgs boson production with top quarks at the LHC.
