J. A. Aguilar-Saavedra, J. Bernabeu

TL;DR
This paper introduces a comprehensive analysis of the eight independent spin observables of the W boson, linking them to angular distributions and asymmetries, with applications to collider experiments and new physics searches.
Contribution
It provides a complete framework to measure and interpret W boson spin observables, enhancing the ability to probe new physics in collider experiments.
Findings
Identified eight independent W boson spin observables.
Linked observables to measurable angular distributions and asymmetries.
Applied framework to polarized top decays and diboson resonances.
Abstract
We discuss the eight independent spin observables for the boson in terms of its vector and tensor polarizations and identify the angular distributions and asymmetries able to separate them in collider experiments. The results are applied to the study of polarized top quark decays and diboson resonances. These novel observables are of great value for disentangling new physics mechanisms in boson production.
