Homological stability of $Aut(F_n)$ revisited
Mladen Bestvina

TL;DR
This paper revisits the homological stability of automorphism groups of free groups, providing an alternative proof and explaining Quillen's method, mainly serving an expository purpose.
Contribution
It offers a new proof of the homological stability of Aut(F_n) and clarifies Quillen's approach, enhancing understanding of existing results.
Findings
Alternative proof of homological stability for Aut(F_n)
Explanation of Quillen's method for homological stability
Primarily an expository contribution
Abstract
We give another proof of a theorem of Hatcher and Vogtmann stating that the sequence satisfies integral homological stability. The paper is for the most part expository, and we also explain Quillen's method for proving homological stability.
