$J/\psi (\eta_c) N$ and $\Upsilon (\eta_b) N$ cross sections
C. W. Xiao, U.-G. Mei{\ss}ner

TL;DR
This paper investigates the cross sections of certain heavy quarkonium-nucleon interactions, motivated by recent discoveries of pentaquark states, and explores their potential to reveal bound states predicted by heavy quark symmetry.
Contribution
It provides a theoretical analysis of elastic and inelastic cross sections for $J/\psi N$, $\eta_c N$, $\Upsilon N$, and $\eta_b N$ channels, connecting to predicted heavy-flavor bound states.
Findings
Predicted bound states could be accessible through these interactions.
Heavy quark symmetry constrains the cross section calculations.
Potential to observe new exotic states in future experiments.
Abstract
Inspired by the recent findings of the two states in the mass spectrum at LHCb, we investigate the elastic and inelastic cross sections of the , , and channels within the constraints from heavy quark spin and flavour symmetry. The () bound states predicted in earlier works should be accessible in elastic and/or inelastic processes of the and/or ( and/or ) interactions.
