Peccei-Quinn field for inflation, baryogenesis, dark matter, and much more
Gabriela Barenboim, Wan-Il Park

TL;DR
This paper presents a brane cosmology scenario where the Peccei-Quinn field acts as the inflaton, addressing multiple cosmological issues such as baryogenesis, dark matter, and the strong CP problem within a unified framework.
Contribution
It introduces a novel model where the Peccei-Quinn field drives inflation and simultaneously solves several fundamental cosmological and particle physics problems.
Findings
The Peccei-Quinn scale is bounded at around 10^11 GeV.
The soft SUSY-breaking mass parameter is bounded at around 10 TeV.
The model naturally incorporates baryogenesis, dark matter, and axion solutions.
Abstract
We propose a scenario of brane cosmology in which the Peccei-Quinn field plays the role of the inflaton and solves simultaneously many cosmological and phenomenological issues such as the generation of a heavy Majorana mass for the right-handed neutrinos needed for seesaw mechanism, MSSM -parameter, the right amount of baryon number asymmetry and dark matter relic density at the present universe, together with an axion solution to the strong CP problem without the domain wall obstacle. Interestingly, the scales of the soft SUSY-breaking mass parameter and that of the breaking of symmetry are lower bounded at and , respectively.
