A note on bulk locality and covariance in AdS/CFT
Slava Emelyanov

TL;DR
This paper examines the connection between bulk locality, covariance, and quantum error correction in AdS/CFT, revealing that bulk covariance may be broken in the semi-classical limit if the proposed relation holds.
Contribution
It demonstrates that the relation between bulk locality and quantum error correction implies a breakdown of bulk covariance in the semi-classical limit.
Findings
Bulk covariance is broken in the semi-classical limit.
The relation between bulk locality and quantum error correction has significant implications.
The study challenges assumptions about covariance in AdS/CFT.
Abstract
This paper studies a recently proposed relation between the emergence of bulk locality in AdS/CFT and the theory of quantum error correction. We show that if this relation is indeed realized in AdS/CFT, then bulk covariance is broken in the semi-classical limit.
