Note on ultraviolet renormalization and ground state energy of the Nelson model
Fumio Hiroshima

TL;DR
This paper investigates the ultraviolet renormalization process in the Nelson model of quantum field theory and explores its connection to the ground state energy at zero total momentum using functional integration techniques.
Contribution
It establishes a relationship between UV renormalization terms and the ground state energy in the Nelson model, providing new insights into their interplay.
Findings
Derived a formula linking UV renormalization and ground state energy.
Used functional integration to analyze the Nelson model.
Enhanced understanding of renormalization effects in quantum field theory.
Abstract
Ultraviolet (UV) renormalization of the Nelson model in quantum field theory is considered. A relationship between a ultraviolet renormalization term and the ground state energy of the Hamiltonian with total momentum zero is studied by functional integrations.
