George Tsamis (National Technical University of Athens, Physics, Department)

TL;DR
This paper applies the reduction of couplings method to the MSSM, aiming to find RGI relations among gauge and Yukawa couplings, leading to predictions for tanβ and the light Higgs mass.
Contribution
It demonstrates the feasibility of deriving RGI relations among couplings in the MSSM and predicts a narrow tanβ window affecting Higgs mass calculations.
Findings
RGI relation between α₁ and α₂ gauge couplings established
Predicted narrow tanβ window consistent with Higgs mass constraints
Method shows potential for reducing free parameters in MSSM
Abstract
We present an application of the reduction of couplings program in the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). We investigate if a functional relation between and gauge couplings can be realized which is Renormalization Group Invariant (RGI). Following the same procedure for the top and bottom Yukawa couplings we end up with a prediction of a narrow window for tan, which is one of the basic parameters that determine the light Higgs mass.
