TL;DR
This paper derives decay widths for heavy mesons decaying into sterile neutrinos and uses experimental data to directly measure the mixing parameter $U_{\tau N}$, advancing understanding of sterile neutrino properties.
Contribution
It provides a theoretical framework for decay widths involving sterile neutrinos and applies it to experimental data to measure the mixing parameter $U_{\tau N}$ directly.
Findings
Derived decay widths for heavy meson decays to sterile neutrinos.
Applied theoretical results to experimental data from Belle/BaBar.
Provided constraints on the mixing parameter $U_{\tau N}$.
Abstract
We derive the decay widths for the leptonic decays of heavy charged pseudoscalars to massive sterile neutrinos, , within the frameworks involving the Standard Model and two-Higgs doublets (type II). We then apply the result to "missing momentum" of the Belle/BaBar experimental results, in order to measure directly the relevant parameter space, including the mixing parameter .
