TL;DR
This paper calculates two-loop penguin contractions of current-current operators to estimate NNLO CP asymmetries in penguin-dominated b -> s transitions, advancing precision in theoretical predictions of CP violation.
Contribution
It provides the first estimate of NNLO CP asymmetries in charmless B decays by computing two-loop penguin contractions of Q_{1,2} operators.
Findings
First NNLO estimate of CP asymmetries in b -> s transitions.
Computed two-loop penguin contractions of Q_{1,2} operators.
Enhanced understanding of short-distance contributions in B decays.
Abstract
The computation of direct CP asymmetries in charmless B decays at next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) in QCD is of interest to ascertain the short-distance contribution. Here we compute the two-loop penguin contractions of the current-current operators Q_{1,2} and provide a first estimate of NNLO CP asymmetries in penguin-dominated b -> s transitions.
