TL;DR
This paper demonstrates how to incorporate leading radiative corrections into the pseudo observable framework for Higgs decays to four leptons, aligning it with next-to-leading-order electroweak calculations for precise predictions.
Contribution
It introduces a method to include radiative corrections in the pseudo observable description of Higgs to four lepton decays, matching NLO electroweak results within the SM and beyond.
Findings
Achieves 1% accuracy in the SM $h\to 2e2\mu$ spectrum with radiative corrections
Provides a framework for including radiative corrections in non-standard pseudo observables
Bridges pseudo observable approach with NLO electroweak calculations
Abstract
We show how leading radiative corrections can be implemented in the general description of decays by means of Pseudo Observables (PO). With the inclusion of such corrections, the PO description of decays can be matched to next-to-leading-order electroweak calculations both within and beyond the Standard Model (SM). In particular, we demonstrate that with the inclusion of such corrections the complete next-to-leading-order Standard Model prediction for the dilepton mass spectrum is recovered within 1% accuracy. The impact of radiative corrections for non-standard PO is also briefly discussed.
