Semiclassical fermion pair creation in de Sitter spacetime
Cl\'ement Stahl, Eckhard Strobel

TL;DR
This paper introduces a semiclassical method to compute fermion and boson pair creation rates in de Sitter spacetime, revealing their equivalence under constant electric fields, consistent with known flat spacetime results.
Contribution
It develops a semiclassical approach to calculate pair creation rates in de Sitter space, demonstrating the equivalence of fermionic and bosonic rates under certain conditions.
Findings
Fermionic and bosonic pair creation rates are identical in a constant electric field.
The method's results align with existing literature for bosons.
The semiclassical analogy between fermions and bosons extends to de Sitter spacetime.
Abstract
We present a method to semiclassically compute the pair creation rate of bosons and fermions in de Sitter spacetime. The results in the bosonic case agree with the ones in the literature. We find that for the constant electric field the fermionic and bosonic pair creation rate are the same. This analogy of bosons and fermions in the semiclassical limit is known from several flat spacetime examples.
