TL;DR
This paper extends the hypercentral Constituent Quark Model to analyze the high $Q^2$ behavior of nucleon electromagnetic form factors, successfully matching recent experimental data from JLab on proton form factor ratios.
Contribution
It introduces an extended calculation of nucleon form factors within the hypercentral CQM that aligns with recent high $Q^2$ experimental measurements.
Findings
Theoretical curves agree with experimental data on $R_p$ and $Q^2 F_2/F_1$ ratios.
Model accurately predicts high $Q^2$ behavior of nucleon form factors.
Supports the validity of the hypercentral CQM at high momentum transfers.
Abstract
The ratio between the electric and magnetic proton form factors has been recently measured at JLab up to . We have extended the calculation of the nucleon form factors with the hypercentral Constituent Quark Model and compared them with the data on and on the behavior of the ratio . In both cases the theoretical curves agree with the experimental points.
