Study of predominant hadronic modes of $\tau$-lepton using a Monte Carlo generator TAUOLA
O. Shekhovtsova

TL;DR
This paper discusses the current status of the TAUOLA Monte Carlo generator in simulating the main hadronic decay modes of tau leptons into two and three pions, crucial for experimental analyses at B-factories and LHC.
Contribution
It provides an update on the development and capabilities of TAUOLA for modeling dominant tau hadronic decay channels.
Findings
TAUOLA accurately models tau decays into two and three pions.
The two-pion decay mode has a branching ratio of approximately 25.52%.
The three-pion decay mode has a branching ratio of approximately 18.67%.
Abstract
TAUOLA is a Monte Carlo generator dedicated to generating tau-lepton decays and it is used in the analysis of experimental data both at B-factories and LHC. TAUOLA is a long-term project that started in the 90's and has been under development up to now. In this note we discuss the status of the predominant hadronic tau-lepton decays into two () and three pions ().
