Standard static Finsler spacetimes
Erasmo Caponio, Giuseppe Stancarone

TL;DR
This paper introduces standard static Finsler spacetimes, linking causality properties with Finsler geometry, and extends classical Lorentzian results to a Finslerian setting.
Contribution
It defines standard static Finsler spacetimes and establishes foundational results connecting causality with Finsler geometry, extending Lorentzian spacetime theories.
Findings
Causality properties are characterized in terms of Finsler geometry.
Connections between Finslerian and Lorentzian causality are established.
Foundational results extend classical Lorentzian spacetime theories.
Abstract
We introduce the notion of a standard static Finsler spacetime where the base is a Finsler manifold. We prove some results which connect causality with the Finslerian geometry of the base extending analogous ones for static and stationary Lorentzian spacetimes.
