Yi Yang, Pei-Hung Yuan

TL;DR
This paper investigates the confinement-deconfinement phase transition for heavy quarks using a holographic QCD model with a black hole background, probe strings, and phase diagram analysis.
Contribution
It introduces a holographic approach combining black hole backgrounds and probe strings to map the phase diagram for heavy quark confinement and deconfinement.
Findings
Constructed a phase diagram for heavy quarks in holographic QCD.
Analyzed various open string configurations and black hole phases.
Identified conditions for confinement and deconfinement transitions.
Abstract
We study confinement-deconfinement phase transition for heavy quarks in a bottom-up holographic QCD model. We consider a black hole background in an Einstein-Maxwell-scalar system and add probe open strings to the background. Combining the various configurations of the open strings and the phase structure of the black hole background itself, we obtain the confinement-deconfinement phase diagram for heavy quarks in the holographic QCD model.
