Simulations using meshfree methods
Kirana Kumara P

TL;DR
This paper compares several meshfree numerical methods—PPCM, RPCM, SPH, and FPM—for three-dimensional linear elastostatic problems, analyzing their accuracy without considering body forces.
Contribution
It provides a comparative analysis of multiple meshfree methods applied to 3D elastostatic problems, highlighting their accuracy and performance.
Findings
All methods successfully solved the elastostatic problems.
Observations on the accuracy of each method are recorded.
The methods are effective for 3D linear elastostatic simulations.
Abstract
In this paper, attempt is made to solve a few problems using the Polynomial Point Collocation Method (PPCM), the Radial Point Collocation Method (RPCM), Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH), and the Finite Point Method (FPM). A few observations on the accuracy of these methods are recorded. All the simulations in this paper are three dimensional linear elastostatic simulations, without accounting for body forces.
