Prospects for observing the lowest-lying odd-parity $\Sigma_c$ and $\Sigma_b$ baryons
Marek Karliner, Jonathan L. Rosner

TL;DR
This paper explores the potential for observing the lowest-lying odd-parity $oldsymbol{ ext{Σ}_c}$ and $oldsymbol{ ext{Σ}_b}$ baryons, extending previous work on $oldsymbol{ ext{Λ}_{c,b}}$ states and analyzing their expected patterns.
Contribution
It provides a theoretical extension and analysis of odd-parity $ ext{Σ}_{c,b}$ baryons, focusing on their structure and potential observability.
Findings
Patterns of odd-parity $ ext{Σ}_{c,b}$ baryons are proposed.
Extension of previous discussions on $ ext{Λ}_{c,b}$ states.
Insights into the orbital excitations of $ ext{Σ}_c$ and $ ext{Σ}_b$ baryons.
Abstract
There exist candidates for the negative-parity states consisting of an isospin-zero, spin-zero light diquark with one unit of orbital angular momentum with respect to a quark. However, there exists only one candidate for the orbital excitations of the and , and none for the orbital excitations of or . We extend a previous discussion of odd-parity states and explore some patterns of the odd-parity baryons consisting of a light isospin-one nonstrange diquark in a state of with respect to the spin-1/2 heavy quark .
