Dongmin Jang, Yoonbai Kim, O-Kab Kwon, D.D. Tolla

TL;DR
This paper constructs a Wess-Zumino-type coupling in ABJM theory that maintains invariance under both non-Abelian gauge transformations of multiple M2-branes and Abelian gauge transformations of the 11D supergravity 3-form field.
Contribution
It introduces a gauge-invariant interaction term between M2-brane worldvolume fields and the supergravity 3-form in ABJM theory, highlighting Abelian gauge invariance.
Findings
Successfully constructed gauge-invariant coupling
Preserves both non-Abelian and Abelian gauge symmetries
Enhances understanding of M2-brane interactions with supergravity
Abstract
We construct the interaction terms between the worldvolume fields of multiple M2-branes and 3-form gauge field of 11-dimensional supergravity, in the context of ABJM theory. The obtained Wess-Zumino-type coupling is simultaneously invariant under the UU non-Abelian gauge transformation of the ABJM theory and the Abelian gauge transformation of the 3-form field in 11-dimensional supergravity.
