The Gribov problem in Noncommutative QED
Fabrizio Canfora, Maxim Kurkov, Luigi Rosa, Patrizia Vitale

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that noncommutative geometry in QED introduces Gribov copies in the Landau gauge, a phenomenon absent in commutative QED, highlighting unique effects of space-time noncommutativity.
Contribution
It reveals the emergence of Gribov copies in noncommutative QED due to space-time noncommutativity, a novel effect not present in standard QED.
Findings
Gribov copies appear in NCQED in Landau gauge
The effect vanishes when noncommutative parameter is zero
Noncommutative geometry induces genuine gauge-fixing ambiguities
Abstract
It is shown that in the noncommutative version of QED (NCQED) Gribov copies induced by the noncommutativity of space-time appear in the Landau gauge. This is a genuine effect of noncommutative geometry which disappears when the noncommutative parameter vanishes.
