Gravitational Renormalization Group Flow, Astrophysics and Cosmology
J. W. Moffat

TL;DR
This paper proposes a modified gravitational theory where fundamental constants vary with scale, explaining cosmological data and galaxy dynamics without dark matter, while remaining consistent with solar system tests.
Contribution
It introduces a scale-dependent gravitational theory that unifies early universe cosmology and galaxy dynamics without dark matter, based on renormalization group flow.
Findings
Explains early universe data with a dark hidden photon.
Accounts for galaxy and cluster dynamics without dark matter.
Aligns with solar system and binary pulsar observations.
Abstract
A modified gravitational theory is developed in which the gravitational coupling constants and and the effective mass of a repulsive vector field run with momentum scale or length scale , according to a renormalization group flow. The theory can explain cosmological early universe data with a dark hidden photon and late time galaxy and cluster dynamics without dark matter. The theory agrees with solar system and binary pulsar observations.
