KPZ equation limit of higher-spin exclusion processes
Ivan Corwin, Li-Cheng Tsai

TL;DR
This paper proves that a specific higher-spin exclusion process converges to the KPZ equation under weak scaling, demonstrating the universality of KPZ for a broader class of particle systems.
Contribution
It establishes the KPZ equation limit for a 4-parameter higher-spin exclusion process, expanding the class of systems known to exhibit KPZ universality.
Findings
Convergence of the higher-spin exclusion process to KPZ under weak scaling
Extension of KPZ universality to new particle systems
Supports the robustness of the KPZ universality class
Abstract
We prove that under a particular weak scaling, the 4-parameter interacting particle system introduced by Corwin and Petrov converges to the KPZ equation. This expands the relatively small number of systems for which weak universality of the KPZ equation has been demonstrated.
