Study of photon reconstruction efficiency using $B^+ \to J/\psi K^{(*)+}$ decays in the LHCb experiment
Ekaterina Govorkova

TL;DR
This paper measures the photon and neutral pion reconstruction efficiency in the LHCb experiment by comparing specific B+ decay channels using data from proton-proton collisions at 7 and 8 TeV.
Contribution
It introduces a method to determine photon and neutral pion efficiencies using B+ decay channels in LHCb data, providing valuable calibration for future analyses.
Findings
Photon and neutral pion efficiencies measured with data.
Results aid in improving accuracy of photon-related measurements.
Method applicable to other decay channels and experiments.
Abstract
The reconstruction efficiency of photons and neutral pions is measured using the relative yields of reconstructed and decays. The efficiency is studied using the data set, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of , collected by the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at the centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV.
