TL;DR
This paper introduces a Galerkin projection method based on the energetic norm for transferring electromagnetic fields between different meshes while conserving energy, demonstrated through an academic example.
Contribution
It develops a novel energetic norm-based Galerkin projection formulation for electromagnetic field transfer between meshes, ensuring energy conservation.
Findings
Successful application to an academic example
Preservation of energetic values during projection
Potential for improved accuracy in electromagnetic simulations
Abstract
In order to project electromagnetic fields between different meshes with respect to the conservation of energetic values, Galerkin projection formulations based on the energetic norm are developed in this communication. The proposed formulations are applied to an academic example.
