TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that the Wigner-Yanase skew information, a measure of quantum coherence, can increase under certain phase-sensitive incoherent operations, challenging previous assumptions about its monotonicity.
Contribution
It reveals that Wigner-Yanase skew information can increase under phase-sensitive incoherent operations, expanding the understanding of coherence measures.
Findings
Wigner-Yanase information can increase under specific incoherent operations
Phase sensitivity plays a role in coherence dynamics
Challenges previous monotonicity assumptions
Abstract
We found that the Wigner-Yanase skew information, which has been recently proposed as a measure of coherence in [Phys. Rev. Lett. \textbf{113}, 170401(2014)], can increase under a class of operations which may be interpreted as incoherent following the framework of Baumgratz et al., while being phase sensitive.
