Enhanced hVV couplings in the Georgi-Machacek model and beyond
Heather E. Logan (Carleton U.)

TL;DR
This paper explores extended Higgs sectors, especially Georgi-Machacek models, showing how theoretical and experimental constraints limit the possible enhancement of Higgs couplings to W and Z bosons beyond Standard Model predictions.
Contribution
It provides an analysis of how custodial symmetry and existing constraints restrict Higgs coupling enhancements in generalized Georgi-Machacek models.
Findings
Upper limit on Higgs coupling enhancement established
Constraints from unitarity and rho parameter analyzed
Models with larger W/Z couplings are limited by current data
Abstract
In this talk I discuss extended Higgs sectors in which the 125 GeV Higgs boson couplings to W and Z bosons can be larger than in the Standard Model. Constraints from perturbative unitarity and the electroweak rho parameter limit the number of possible models to a tractable few. Focusing on generalizations of the Georgi-Machacek model and taking advantage of the custodial symmetry, I show that existing experimental and theoretical constraints can be combined to set an upper limit on the enhancement of the Higgs couplings to W and Z bosons. This talk is based mostly on arXiv:1502.01275.
