Effect of in-medium parameters of rho meson in its photoproduction reactions on nuclei
Swapan Das

TL;DR
This paper investigates how the nuclear medium alters the properties of the rho meson, affecting its production and decay spectra in photonuclear reactions, with results aligning well with experimental data.
Contribution
It introduces a method to extract the rho meson optical potential from in-medium parameters and demonstrates its impact on mass distribution spectra in photonuclear reactions.
Findings
Reproduces experimental rho meson mass spectra in photonuclear reactions.
Shows medium modifications significantly influence rho meson properties.
Provides a theoretical framework for rho meson in-medium effects.
Abstract
There exist model calculations showing the modification of the hadronic parameters of meson in the nuclear environment. From these parameters, we extract the meson nucleus optical potential and show the medium effect due to this potential on the meson mass distribution spectra in the photonuclear reaction. The calculated results reproduced reasonably the measured invariant mass, i.e., meson mass, distribution spectra in the reaction on nuclei.
