Diffractive dissociation in high energy pp collisions in Additive Quark Model
Yu.M. Shabelski, A.G. Shuvaev

TL;DR
This paper models high-energy proton-proton and proton-antiproton scattering using the Additive Quark Model combined with Pomeron exchange, achieving good agreement with experimental data for elastic and diffractive processes.
Contribution
It introduces a combined approach of the Additive Quark Model and Pomeron exchange to describe high-energy scattering, with parameters consistent with proton structure.
Findings
Good agreement with experimental elastic scattering data
Accurate modeling of diffractive dissociation processes
Natural parameters for proton matter distribution used
Abstract
High energy (CERN SPS and LHC) () scattering is treated in the framework of Additive Quark Model together with Pomeron exchange theory. The reasonable agreement with experimental data is achieved both for the elastic scattering and for the diffractive dissociation with natural parameters for the strong matter distribution inside proton.
