TL;DR
This paper develops a new formalism to count microstates of certain three-dimensional black holes that are not asymptotically AdS, using generalized modular invariance, and extends it to Rindler horizons with additional corrections.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach based on dual field theory invariance to analyze microstates of non-AdS black holes, including logarithmic corrections.
Findings
Formalism for microstate counting in non-AdS black holes
Extension to Rindler horizons with singular limit
Logarithmic corrections to entropy
Abstract
We propose a formalism for counting the microstates of a class of three-dimensional black holes which are not asymptotically AdS. The formalism rests on the invariance of a dual field theory under a generalized modular transformation and is extended to Rindler horizons by a singular limit. We also obtain logarithmic corrections.
