TL;DR
This paper reports the first observation and measurement of the branching fraction for the decay $B^0_s o D_s^{* ull} K^{ ull}$ using LHCb data, providing new insights into B meson decay processes.
Contribution
The paper presents the first observation and precise measurement of the branching fraction for the decay $B^0_s o D_s^{* ull} K^{ ull}$, expanding knowledge of B meson decay channels.
Findings
Branching fraction of $B^0_s o D_s^{* ull} K^{ ull}$ measured as (16.3 ± 1.2 (stat) +0.7/-0.5 (syst) ± 4.8 (norm)) × 10^{-5}.
First observation of this decay channel in proton-proton collision data.
Measurement uncertainty includes statistical, systematic, and normalization channel uncertainties.
Abstract
The first observation of the decay is reported using 3.0 of proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment. The mesons are reconstructed through the decay chain . The branching fraction relative to that for is measured to be , where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. Using a recent measurement of the absolute branching fraction of is measured as ( 16.3 1.2 (stat) (syst) 4.8 (norm) ) 10, where the third uncertainty is due to the uncertainty on the branching fraction of the normalisation channel.
