Scale Dependent Pomeron Intercept in Electromagnetic Diffractive Processes
H. G. Dosch, E. Ferreira

TL;DR
This paper proposes a scale-dependent pomeron model for diffractive scattering, supported by experimental data from vector meson production and LHC results, inspired by gauge/string duality concepts.
Contribution
It introduces a novel scale-dependent pomeron trajectory model that unifies perturbative and non-perturbative diffraction phenomena.
Findings
Data on vector meson production support the model.
LHC $J/\psi$ photoproduction results are consistent with the model.
The model aligns with gauge/string duality principles.
Abstract
We test the hypothesis that diffractive scattering in the perturbative and non-perturbative domain is determined by the exchange of a single pomeron with a scale dependent trajectory. Present data on diffractive vector meson production are well compatible with this model and recent results for photoproduction at LHC strongly support it. The model is inspired by concepts of gauge/string duality applied to the pomeron.
