NLO QCD corrections to excited lepton production at the LHC
Swapan Majhi

TL;DR
This paper calculates NLO QCD corrections to excited lepton production at the LHC, demonstrating significant effects and reduced scale dependence, thus improving theoretical predictions for experimental searches.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed NLO QCD correction analysis for excited lepton production via gauge mediation at the LHC.
Findings
NLO corrections are substantial and significantly affect cross sections.
Scale dependence is greatly reduced at NLO compared to LO.
Results improve the accuracy of theoretical predictions for excited lepton searches.
Abstract
We revisited excited leptons () production through gauge mediation only at LHC, followed by their two body decays into Standard Model (SM) particles. We include the next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD corrections to these processes. We have shown that these corrections can be substantial and significant. We also show that the scale dependence of the NLO cross section is greatly reduced as compare to leading order (LO) cross section.
