Generating Luminous and Dark Matter During Inflation
Neil D. Barrie, Archil Kobakhidze

TL;DR
This paper introduces a novel inflation-era mechanism generating both luminous and dark matter through anomaly-induced processes linked to an anomalous $U(1)_X$ group, connecting matter genesis with early universe physics.
Contribution
It develops a new framework for matter generation during inflation involving anomaly-driven charge violation, applied to extensions of the Standard Model with dark matter candidates.
Findings
Mechanism successfully produces baryon and dark matter densities.
Framework applicable to models with anomalous $B$ and $B-L$ gauge groups.
Provides a unified inflationary origin for visible and dark matter.
Abstract
We propose a new mechanism for generating both luminous and dark matter during cosmic inflation. According to this mechanism, ordinary and dark matter carry common charge which is associated with an anomalous group. Anomaly terms source and charge violating processes during inflation, producing corresponding non-zero Chern-Simons numbers which are subsequently reprocessed into baryon and dark matter densities. The general framework developed is then applied to two possible extensions of the Standard Model with anomalous gauged and , each with an additional dark matter candidate.
