Alexander G. Ramm, Martin Schechter

TL;DR
This paper provides a new proof demonstrating the existence of solutions for electromagnetic wave scattering problems involving arbitrarily shaped impedance bodies, using elliptic systems theory and estimates.
Contribution
It introduces a novel proof approach for the existence of solutions in EM scattering problems with arbitrary impedance body shapes, expanding theoretical understanding.
Findings
Proof of existence for EM scattering solutions established
Applicable to bodies of arbitrary shape

Abstract
A new proof is given of the existence of the solution to electromagnetic (EM) wave scattering problem for an impedance body of an arbitrary shape. The proof is based on the elliptic systems theory and elliptic estimates for the solutions of such systems.
